Colorado Trip....heaven!
Last week we spent a few days up in Colorado near Beaver Creek/Vail and it was incredible! Not only was it extremely beautiful, but the weather....oh the weather was amazing. Totally beats the 100+ degree heat we're having here. Mackenzie had a blast with her Nana, Papa, Aunt Ya-Ya (Angela) and Hehe (Heath, Angela's boyfriend). We hiked, rode bikes and relaxed - the perfect vacation!
This is how small of a world we live in....we went to a farmer's market in Vail on Sunday and ran into one of my college roommates, Amanda Simmons Herbert. She and her husband and daughter live up there. It was the most random thing but it was so great to see them. They live in heaven, there's no other way to describe that place:)

Update on Maggie
First off, thank you for all of the prayers for Maggie! I know it seems kind of silly to some to ask for you to pray for my dog, but for those dog lovers out there, you understand where I'm coming from. Maggie isn't a dog to us, she's family and she's a child to us.
When I picked Maggie up from the surgery center last Friday, I was really expecting her to be limping around, acting like she was in pain and for me to cry all the way home as my heart broke for her. But no. None of that happened! She came bounding out of the room with her tail wagging as hard as possible so excited to see me and to get the heck out of there!
She is doing so well!! It really has been incredible to watch her recover in this last week. I think the hardest thing really, is the stupid cone she has to wear around her head for 2 weeks (2 VERY long weeks). It's awkward for her and quite painful for us when she runs into us with it. But other than that, she's limping slightly but getting around great considering she just had invasive surgery. She has to stay in our room so she doesn't get too much activity or slip on the wood floors, but I don't think she minds too much.
We go in next week to have the staples removed (they make me nauseous!) and to go to rehabilitation therapy....yes they have therapy for dogs! So, she's making great progress. One leg down and in 5-6 weeks another leg to go. We still have a long road ahead of us, about 4 months, but I'm so proud of our hound dog! She's going to be just fine!!
